Kristina Cagle and Pedro Cruz have been chosen "Cougars of the Month" for October 2019 at Schalick High School. 

Kristina Cagle is the daughter of Cheryl and Erik Cagle of Pittsgrove.  Krissy is actively involved in Mock Trial and Peer Mediation, in addition to serving as a Mentor and the President of the National Honor Society. She is also a member of the softball team.  Outside of school, Krissy volunteers her time at Inspira Hospital – Elmer.  In her free time, Krissy enjoys listening to music, playing video games, drawing and playing softball.  After graduation, Krissy plans to attend college to become an elementary school teacher.

Pedro Cruz is the son of Terrie Cruz of Vineland.  Pedro is a member of the football, basketball and track teams, and he has participated in his football team’s School Service Day, as well as Green and Gold Night during his years at Schalick.  When he’s not at school, Pedro volunteers his time assisting with a food drive for the homeless in his community, in addition to working at Burger King and participating as a team member in Ryze AAU Basketball.  He is also an active member of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes).  In his free time, Pedro enjoys making videos for Media class, sleeping, playing sports, and listening to his Mom talk about quotes from the Bible.   After graduation, Pedro plans to attend the University of Nevada to play sports and study Engineering.
